Cyfluence: The Latest Frontier of Cognitive Warfare

The term 'Cyfluence' refers to the full spectrum of integrated cyber–influence operations that combine technical and informational tactics within a unified framework. It encompasses both cyberattacks conducted to shape perceptions or behavior and influence campaigns designed to facilitate or enhance cyber operations.

In practice, Cyfluence represents the convergence of technical infiltration, sabotage, data exfiltration, information manipulation, and narrative campaigns - all embedded within mutually reinforcing, influence-centered kill chains. It is the comprehensive expression of how power is applied and projected across today’s interconnected information environments.

In this primer, we present an updated definition of Cyfluence, reflecting the latest evolutions of the concept and the increasing convergence of cyber and cognitive domains.
