Indonesia’s June 2026 protests were rooted in domestic economic grievances, yet a small cluster of pro-PRC influencers reframed them as a U.S.-, NED-, and Soros-backed “color revolution.” Four accounts generated 187 posts and over 1.2 million views in two coordinated surges, amplified by a network where 45% of accounts showed bot-like behavior. No evidence supports claims of foreign orchestration, but the narrative reveals how local unrest becomes geopolitical material.
